Terms of Service
Effective September 19, 2026. The agreement for using Tiptoe.
Our agreement
These terms are between you, the user, and Sourdough AI LLC, which operates Tiptoe. By using Tiptoe or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Read our Privacy Policy for how we handle information.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement. Use accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials safe, and tell support@tiptoe.ai about unauthorized access. Invite a partner only with their consent.
Two accounts, one shared space
Each partner has a separate account. Pairing connects those accounts to one shared space. Shared items are visible to both partners; private items stay private under the reveal rules in our Privacy Policy. Tiptoe does not monitor or rank partners.
You retain rights to the content you enter. You give us permission to store, process, and display it only as needed to provide and secure Tiptoe, including sharing you choose and the consented Learnings or Voice note features you use. Only enter content you have the right to use.
Uncoupling archives the shared space. Each partner can export shared data and their own private records, never the other partner’s private records. Deleting your account removes your account, your data and photos. It does not delete your partner’s separate account. Export what you need before deleting. Uncoupling and deletion are separate from cancelling a subscription.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Tiptoe has a free plan and a paid plan, Pro. The free plan is free for both partners in one shared space, needs no payment method, and includes the first 30 tasks and chores the couple ever creates, combined: every one created counts, open or done, and deleting one does not give it back. To add more after that, the couple subscribes to Pro. Pro adds the features listed on our pricing page and costs US $9.99 a month. One Pro subscription covers both partners. On the web, you subscribe to Pro at Stripe checkout. In the iPhone app, you subscribe through Apple’s in-app purchase, and the App Store shows the price in your local currency. Any applicable taxes and the total are shown before purchase.
Pro is a monthly subscription. You are charged when you upgrade, and the subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Stripe bills subscriptions bought on the web. Apple bills subscriptions bought in the iPhone app through your Apple Account, and Apple’s terms apply to those purchases. Unless you cancel before the renewal date, a web subscription renews at US $9.99 a month, charged to the payment method on file with Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges at that price until you cancel. A subscription bought under an earlier plan renews on the billing interval you chose until you cancel. We disclose price changes in advance and obtain consent where required.
You can cancel at any time. For a web subscription, open Manage your subscription and follow the cancellation steps. For a subscription bought in the iPhone app, manage or cancel it in your App Store subscription settings: open Apple Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, Tiptoe, and Cancel Subscription. See Apple’s cancellation instructions. Cancelling stops renewal. You keep Pro through the paid period unless a refund or provider action ends it, and then your couple stays on the free plan. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
For web subscriptions billed by Stripe, payments are non-refundable, and we do not offer refunds or credits for partial or unused periods, except where applicable law requires a refund. Cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the current one. Apple handles refunds for subscriptions bought in the iPhone app; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. For other billing questions or requests, email support@tiptoe.ai.
App Store terms (iPhone app)
This section applies when you get Tiptoe from Apple’s App Store. It sets out terms Apple requires, and it controls if it conflicts with another part of these terms.
These terms are between you and Sourdough AI LLC only, not Apple. Sourdough AI LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Tiptoe app and its content. Your licence to the app is non-transferable and limited to using it on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses from a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, subject to these terms.
Sourdough AI LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims by you or a third party about the app or your possession or use of it. That includes product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar law. If a third party claims that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes their intellectual property rights, Sourdough AI LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile data agreement.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept these terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary, and is deemed to have accepted that right.
Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to Sourdough AI LLC at support@tiptoe.ai.
Acceptable use
Do not use Tiptoe to threaten, harass, stalk, coerce, impersonate, or control anyone. Do not upload illegal content, violate privacy or intellectual property rights, access another person’s account, bypass safeguards or payment requirements, distribute malware, send spam, or disrupt the service. Report security concerns to support@tiptoe.ai.
Learnings and Voice notes
Learnings and Voice note reports are optional and require the couple's consent. Anthropic Claude prepares observations and reports, and AWS Transcribe creates Voice note transcripts. Their output may be wrong, incomplete, biased, or unsuitable. Review it before using, sharing, or turning a follow-up into a task.
Tiptoe is not therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or a crisis service. It does not guarantee relationship outcomes or monitor content for emergencies. Visit Safety for support resources.
Service and termination
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive right to use Tiptoe while you follow these terms. We retain rights in our software and branding. We may change features or interrupt access for maintenance and security.
You may stop using Tiptoe, cancel your subscription, or delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, nonpayment, legal requirements, or security or safety risks. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you a chance to resolve it. Contact support if you believe a decision is mistaken. We permit export where reasonably possible and lawful.
Liability limits
To the extent permitted by law, Tiptoe is provided as is and as available, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.
To the extent permitted by law, Sourdough AI LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages or lost profits. Our total liability for claims connected to Tiptoe is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or rights and liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
The laws of the State of California govern these terms, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law where you live requires otherwise. These terms do not require arbitration or waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Changes and contact
We will post changes with a revised effective date and give notice of material changes through the service or email, obtaining consent where required. Changes apply prospectively. Payment obligations already incurred and provisions that must survive termination continue to apply.
Questions, complaints, or claims about Tiptoe or your account can be sent to Sourdough AI LLC at support@tiptoe.ai or by mail at Sourdough AI LLC, 223 Child St, Warren, RI 02885. The service provider and contracting party is Sourdough AI LLC.
