Excellent roommates. Remember the kissing?
When your last three conversations were about bins, broadband, and whether that smell is the sponge.

The household is running. You want time for each other.
You know whose turn it is to buy detergent. You have strong teamwork around parking permits. Somewhere along the way, most of your time together started happening while one of you was emptying the dishwasher. Being good at sharing a home is useful. It can also leave you missing the person who happens to be very efficiently managing the recycling.
This page is for partners who live together and want more room for dating each other. It is not a group-household plan or an app for adding several roommates. Your shared space has two people. The aim is to give the practical work a clear place so every evening does not become another opportunity to review the freezer.
Stop using every conversation as a reminder.
Put the next jobs into tasks and keep ongoing responsibilities on chores. Agree what done means so ‘sort the kitchen’ does not need an explanatory message every time. One person owns the noticing and planning as well as the final wipe. That makes it easier to talk about something else without wondering whether the job will disappear from everybody's mind.
When something bothers you, add it as a topic for your weekly check-in so it has somewhere to sit until you both have time. Topics you add are visible to both. Choose one topic at the weekly check-in instead of delivering a surprise list during the first quiet moment of the evening. Timing helps a small household conversation have somewhere to begin and end.
A date needs one more step than ‘we should.’
Pick one idea you both want, put it on the shared calendar, and make a plan, including who is arranging it. Being at home does not automatically make the plan another household night. A blanket on the floor and a picnic plate can be enough of a change if you both want it.
Keep the invitation specific. ‘Want to do the two-song time machine after dinner on Thursday?’ is easier to answer than ‘we never do anything.’ You can each choose a song from childhood and one from when you met, then tell the stories. No performance standards, no expensive booking, and no reason to organize the cupboard halfway through.
Notice more than finished chores.
Send thank-yous for everyday effort, and keep learning the small things about your partner. The shared profile can hold a new favorite snack, coffee order, or preference for a quiet evening. Private gift ideas let you remember a passing comment without revealing the surprise. Shared profile facts are visible to both; they are not a place to keep secret judgments.
At Sunday check-in, look at what made the week work and what you want to change. Save a small agreement if it helps, then close the admin. You are allowed to spend time together without extracting a plan from it. The house will continue to produce laundry. It does not need to chair every conversation you have in it.
Fewer reminders. Clear owners.
