Weaponized incompetence

An everyday label for a pattern in which claiming inability or doing work badly appears to shift responsibility back to someone else.

What it looks like at home

A household might repeatedly see an agreed job returned to its former owner after an incomplete attempt. That behavior can be described without assuming its cause.

The useful distinction

Do not infer intent from one mistake, unfamiliarity, disability, or a need for support. Name the agreement, the repeated gap, and the practical change needed.
